Don't get rid of the module. It steps down the current for the EHC as you know already. It sit's on the battery from the factory, so no need to move it to another place. The heat will not effect it.

I don't have any driving clips, but I do plan to get some shot soon. Just installed a new chip and she's shooting 5 foot flames from the tailpipe! Lights up the road behind me at night! AWESOME!
