You can get a clear plastic coating to put on your back fender, that's what mine has. Also the hubby has a bigdog ppad for his k9 (believe he got it off ebay and was used on a ridgeback) and that's comfy. I can ride on that for a few hours. As far as a little one though, UGH, I got welts on my ass after riding a couple hours...NO GOOD! Wouldn't it be more safe to add a sissy bar, even if it's just for the passenger and take it off when you are done? This is my opinion but maybe it also depends on the weight/size of the girl. I'm only 110 pounds.
