Haha, and the recess is beat up cause it was at 6pm instead of 12pm and took all the abuse over how ever many miles/years!!!Well i been thinking about the way this bike acted when i hit a bump yesterday....felt rather odd and would pick up a little vibration that i could feel....well first thought was with me and bakiebake(steph) on it the belt was to tight or the shocks are wore out....i noticed lastnight adjusting the belt one minute it was to loose and next it would tighten up when i set the bike back down which it should somewhat but little more than i thought...so i started taking shock covers off and i thought wait a minute lets look at the swing arm isolators cause that could cause a vibration....well upon taking the covers off this evening i noticed the axle bolt was in the bottom of the bushing so i was like its wore out.....the more i looked at it i thought damn thing is upside down...and yep its upside down....dont know if the factory did it or the guy i got it from did it....but i will say this ive found several things on this bike that wasnt mounted the way it should have been so go figure....so i ordered new bushing to correct this problem....the first picture is the way it was installed....the 2nd picture is the way it should be installed....the hole is supposed the be at the top off the bushing not at the bottom....plus the notch goes up top....so the bushing plate was on upside down also....which intern had the transmission closer to the cross member which it was to close for my comfort anyway with a rubber mounted motor...they have a offset hole in them for the weight of the bike and weight of rider , passenger etc....View attachment 67222View attachment 67223

Man, she looks real nice in this picture, you did a real nice job on bringing it back to a full respectable life. glad you found the bolt in upside down. It is amazing how the other owner did not notice that the bike did not ride right.
