10amp fuses continually blows

Energy One
I have pdm installed on bike and worked great for some time.

The only fault is i'm blowing 10 amp (compresion fuses on every start)
what gives.

I dont have the exact diagrams but i think this should be a 5amp anyways
but there is no way it breaks it.

I don't want to damage any wires using a higher amp rating

i a) need to confrim what amp i should be using. is it 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25.

i can only think that there must be a short ? but if that's true why would i new fuse start right up. i'm at a loss.

any body have the scahmatic for pdm harness for bdm chopper 05?

I have seen them blow fuses with a sticking or bad compression release.

X2....Yep.....Thats where your short is at,you gotta have a Compression Release that is hung up,or a short to voltage or ground in that harness....thats why its continually blowing that fuse...

I had a similar problem with the compression release sticking. I cut a very small hole in each release cover and skeeted wd 40 inside each of them. Everything has been fine since and that's been since 2010. Just Sayin'

This is a GREAT NEWs. I thankyou for this knowledge. I can hear one of them sticking.
And i belive its cause it has a tear in boot , thus rain gets in and then sticks.

I'll try adding a squirt or two in the torn bubble.

Thanks so much.

Neil.
