I work for BD and I can verify that there were in fact 15 Rolex's given out to the first 10 year employee's that do have the logo on the face of them. Now they have it on the back of the case. We get a watch after 5 years that has the logo on the face but it's not a Rolex and then at 10 years we get the Rolex. I'm not sure what the 15 year award is as I haven't been there for the presentations the last few months.
Since you were posting at the same time I was Dennis, how would a gross $75,000 adjustment in the profit margin spread out over 10 years help anybody? BD might have sold a few more bikes (3 or 4) but those that have been laid off would still not have a position today. 25,000 bikes in the last 15 years divided by $75,000 is $3.00 per bike. I don't know but I'll bet there isn't a single non-owner who was trying to by one that didn't because of $3.00. If you want to look at it another way, pay the employee over a 10 year span the equivilant of the watch - $5,000 before tax's would be $3,500 and over ten years would be $350 a year or about $13.00 per pay period.
