09 Wolf Fork removal

hello,
I am in need or re-chroming the front forks. is there a how to on here? also, how difficult is it to take everything apart?

That's the weird model where the top nut is hidden. The tubes thread into the top tree.

Is there still set screws on the backside of the lower tree?

The top tree probably have clinch bolts as well as the lower tree. Similar to 2008 Bulldog style inverted forks.

When you get re-chromed make sure you can still fit together on top tree if has heavy 3 layer chrome.

Make sure you have all the set screws out upper and lower. The forks may be stuck in the trees. I wrap the triple trees in painters tape, use a rag and tap the trees with a rubber mallet. Spray a little penetrating oil on the Lower triple tree and into the top triple tree where the forks seat into the tree. As you tap have a helper work the forks to break them free. Good luck
