04 pitbull to ridgeback build

Let the Big Dawg eat !
Update:
Got the backing plate fitup on:
So as posted before Arlen ness are setup for cv carbs, so I purchased an adapter plate to mount the Arlen ness backing plate to the s&s carb. The Arlen ness breather standoffs were too short for the setup, so after allot of work I found that performance matchine has standoffs that will work.
Additionally, the breather bolts are too small for the 1” heads , so I had to use 1” to 3/8” thread reducers. The fitup makes me think this will work but it still needs some additional modifications.
All this just to have something different!!!

Found one of the wire broke on my right pcb board so decided to order new pcb’s.
Then it’s time to test the electrical system

Planning on trailering the bike to wild steed Worx sometime in feb-March. Curtis is going to help me with the wheel spacing. Again big thanks to curtis and Derrick and Donna for keeping big dogs going. I wouldn’t have had a chance to get this thing going without the great vendor support.

I can’t explain how generous Curtis has been with helping me get this project moving ! He’s gone well out of his way to help when needed.
I can’t say enough great things about his shop and support !

A little setback today.
I think the chrome controls that came with the frame do not fit the handlebars ! This would explain the gap!
Going to send the pitbull controls to sport chrome this week. 2BB618A0-CB2A-4A24-8D54-E6BA7E35D1DD.jpeg2BB618A0-CB2A-4A24-8D54-E6BA7E35D1DD.jpeg

Seriously? How can that be?

Your guess is as good as mine!
The controls are close but there are small differences, at first I thought it was due to the powdercoat on the bars and after much dremelimg I decided to use the old controls which fit perfectly. Actually looking forward to having the old controls chromed.

It could be the thickness of the chrome on the controls? Will be interesting to see if the ones that come back line up as good as they now
