No need to go thru all that trouble if all that's wrong is the cam sensor that is an easy swap out.So i have a 04 pitbull as well with a wires plus installed. How hard and expensive is it to do something similar on the mastiff?
Reason I'm asking is I'm pretty sure the ECM is fried. The speedo quit working awhile ago and headlight quit shortly after that and I think that the only flash that it still does is from the starter using so much when it tries to start. On top of the positive terminal grounding out on the frame few times as well.So i have a 04 pitbull as well with a wires plus installed. Ok I will try that first. No need to go thru all that trouble if all that's wrong is the cam sensor that is an easy swap out.
Without a major mod, you'll still be using a cam sensor as the alternative is a crank sensor and you are not setup for that at all.
WiresPLus is long since out of business.
You might be served well to replace it before it goes since the odds of finding a replacement when the one modules goes is getting harder and harder and is usually because someone had one from a swap out they sis at some point.
For now, I'd suggest getting the cam sensor and getting it running, then think about replacing the WP if you're looking to make a rider as oppose to a bar hopper. (not sure how you ride.)
Thank youReason I'm asking is I'm pretty sure the ECM is fried. If your getting red lights on your EHC they indicate faults-- Open circuit, Over-current, and shorts. If your speedo and headlight are failing check the connections on the EHC and inside the lamp housing. Especially the headlight. An extra load could be causing the ignition module to fail. Be sure not to confuse the EHC with the Ign Module. Your post #10 and #13 are different answers to the same question.Reason I'm asking is I'm pretty sure the ECM is fried. The green and yellow lights do not come on at all , the red light for the ignition comes on when I hit the run button and the lowbeam light comes on when I turn the keyIf your getting red lights on your EHC they indicate faults-- Open circuit, Over-current, and shorts. I am not certain of the logic of an 04 but I'm assuming you mean the low beam light comes on by itself as soon as you turn the key and the ignition light comes on after when you hit the run button. I would open the headlight and verify your connector has not melted. Does your headlight come on and have a high and low beam? A short in the headlight (because of the drain on the system) could cause the EHC to fail. The green and yellow lights do not come on at all , the red light for the ignition comes on when I hit the run button and the lowbeam light comes on when I turn the key
