I got the "Sunrise" LED light in from J&P Cycles. J&P Cycles® Custom LED Taillight Running Light | 3400630 | J&P Cycles

The new light is dead on regarding size and fitment when compared to the factory. However, it is a three wire instead of the two wire that came on the factory harness. I thought oh crap! :bang:

Well, it is okay because the new light needs the black wire joined with the factory black wire (ground). The red joins with the red (varying current positive lead on bike)(brake light on replacement LED) and the yellow wire (running light) on the J&P replacement can be cut and discarded. This may seem as though you will have only the 'bright' brake light at all times, but the varying current will dim the replacement LED light from J&P Cycles as it did the factory one.

Note: To remove the factory light, a simple flat screwdriver is needed to remove the speed fasteners from the factory light under the fender as it has no screws or bolts retaining it. On mine the plastic was so brittle that it immediately broke free from the light itself with very little pressure! The new/replacement light comes with nuts and washers as fasteners to secure and they are located exactly in the factory holes.
