That's exactly what I'm doing now. I pulled the lower part of the triple tree back off the bike so I'm not having to wrestle with the weight of the forks. I've almost got it. Three credit cards isn't enough, but looking like four will do it. It's really stiff because of the added Chrome. I can get the nut (that holds the springs) through just fine so I'm almost there.

That is a fuel tank bung remover tool with gasket.

I forgot that I sent a new gas Cap, still in the box...never opened it. I thought Spacecoast would do a better job on the chrome, and they did. That Rubber Gasket goes to the cap and you were right about the tool. They even rechromed the tool! Anyway, really appreciate that...it was driving me crazy. I had 65 pieces rechromed, including Bolts. Then about 30 other pieces that were the internals of Hand Controls, Front Master Cylinder parts...etc. So it's been a real job just sorting everything out. Thanks

Well...finally got the forks in. Didn't expect that to be a problem but as I said, I think Chrome on the triple trees stiffened them up considerably. I'll probably try to put the handlebars on tomorrow. My package with the front Brake Master Cylinder kit is delayed until Tuesday.

A little more progress. I got the Handlebars on and the witing for the Hand Controls. That wiring took forever because it was new and stiff. Also, the end plugs would barely fit through the holes in the lower Handlebar. Forgot to order new Speedometer Cables so that will wait. Also, still haven't received my Speedometer, Drive Belt, and Exhaust from Andrew??? Oil Tank and Battery Box getting Powder Coating, should be ready next week. Front Master Cylinder kit will be here tomorrow so I can get started on that. So, the only thing I have Parts for is the Easy-Pull Clutch/Clutch Cable and Transmission Cover. I'll get started on that shortly. Making progress but slow going.

Have you talked to Barnes? That’s about ridiculous I would have to say! Curious to know what the problem could be? I mean these are parts he’s advertised as In Stock….

I agree...I think it's been at least 4 months since I ordered them. I've talked to him twice...he's hard to get on the phone. Two weeks ago I called and told him to just send my speedometer and the belt that goes with the Short Belt Kit (smaller drive gear). He said he would send it right away and the exhaust would follow a week later. Well...what can I say. I totally agree with you; what's the problem? I at least have other things I can do. I just came in from installing the EZ Pull Clutch/Cable and gear cover. However, in a couple of weeks I'll need those parts from Andrew. I can't put the rear wheel on without that belt.

I've got a few questions about the Air Ride System wiring. There are 3 wires on the Air Ride system. Ground (To Battery), Compressor Wire, and the Solenoid Wire. I have at least 2 wires on my bike that are not connected to anything. First question; I'm trying to imagine how the system works. I would (THINK) on High Beam, the Compressor engages (Starts) and the Solenoid (Valve) opens to let the air into the Shocks. Releasing the High Beam, compressor shuts off and solenoid closes to hold the air pressure. On Low Beam, only the Solenoid opens to allow air to Bleed off. Is this correct? If so, I should be able to put a voltmeter on either of the wires (Not used), looking for 12 vdc when I press the High/Low beam to determine which goes to the Compressor or Solenoid. On High Beam I would get the 12 vdc on both wires. On Low Beam i would get the 12 vdc only on the Solenoid wire. Basically I want to know EXACTLY what I'm doing BEFORE I connect any wires to the Air Ride components.

Correction...there's a 2-wire Plug on the Solenoid. Hot and ground. So, I'll know that one of the wires I'm looking for on the bike will also be a 2-wire connection. That should make it a little easier to locate. Does anyone know if the operation of the system match my understanding described in my previous post?

Latest update on the BLOW exhaust, Speedometer and belt I ordered from Barnes Performance.. If you recall, I called three weeks ago and Andrew told me he would send the belt and Speedometer out immediately, and the exhaust a week later. After waiting two weeks Ithats emailed Andrew Friday and told him that I hadn't received anything and I was now in the process of putting the bike back together and really needed those parts. He told me he sent them right after our call so they must have gotten lost in the mail. WTF!!! He said he would send another set out immediately. He didn't mention the exhaust. So I received an email from USPS stating that a package will be delivered Friday, but doesn't say from who...that's odd. Anyway, I hope it's from him. As to the exhaust, I know there's some type of problem going on but not sure what. Although it's been at least 4 months, maybe 5 since I ordered it I'm hoping he's realized that they don't fit the RSD and he's trying to modify them. If he would actually tell me that, I'd even be willing to pay for the modifications and new Chrome because I want those pipes. So...wait and see.

I’m sorry you’re having such problems and I hate to say this but Andrew Barnes is not the honest good guy I once thought he was. I hadn’t said anything about it because I’m not sure what kind of issues he’s having or something maybe going on but he straight up lied to me about my pipes and wasn’t the stand up guy I thought he was. Best of luck getting your stuff and hopefully it will all work out
