I got a few questions on open belt drive. I have a left side drive and My belt keeps going to the left. I have tried to align it many times by loosening the transmission bolts and settings everything up straight but still moves over. so my question is if I use shims to move the pulley over how much crank shaft splines need to be in the pulley? I only have about a 1/2 inch showing after shimming it

Is the rear wheel and pully out of alignment? Bad swingarm bushing? Shim on the rear pully pushing it farther out? What yr n model Dog? When doing adjustments did you roll the wheel forwards AND backwards to ck alignment?

Man I don’t think that’s good. Those parts are under high torque. Can you post a picture of the entire left side? With maybe a few close up shots of the transmission & engine alignment?

Ok so are you having a problem with the main shaft drive belt or the belt on your open primary? If your alignment on your open primary is off you need to contact Scott @ beltdrives.com. BDL website. Use the contact link to send him a message and include your pics. Do not put that back together with those shim’s until you get with him.

What is damaging your sidewall on the rear tire? Can you pull the covers on your rear axle & adjustment bolts and take a picture of both.

By the look of his rear tire I would say he’s got some problems. BMC? That’s a new one on me.
