Rear LED lights 2006 pitbull

Well…my right rear light quit working and once I unscrewed the protective lens and pulled the LED housing out, one of the wires was broken. I’m trying to replace it, but have found out that I can’t get to the wiring because it’s hidden inside the rear strut bar. I thought I had all of the screws out only to find that the rear tire is very close to I believe three pan head Allen screws and I can’t get a wrench on them. Is this something I’m going to have to take the rest wheel off just to replace the light? Any help would be amazing! Thanks in advance.

You may have to unplug the tail light wire from under the seat and remove the whole rear fender, struts, and all by removing 4 strut bolts (2 on each side).

Should I go with the stock ones then? Are they easier to maintain?

I would say that people will be able to see you better. I had those little ones on my 03. People behind me always complained.

Do you think it would be beneficial if I went ahead and just replaced the whole wiring harness for the bike? I mean all of them. Isn’t there a full motorcycle harness for these bikes?
