BDM CONTROLER TO THUNDER HEART CONTROLER

Has anyone used a Thunder Heart controller or Wire Plus controller in place of a gone bad BDM controller?
Any advise. Can not see spending $780 on BDM controller.

Hey Mike, Do you know if the BDM controler you rfered to in your post is the latest version from BDM.. I know they
The best person to answer that question would be Curtis as Knothead suggested. I believe Curtis also can test your current EHC to make sure it is toast before you purchase a new one.

If youR EHC went bad, more than likely one of two things happened. One, your voltage regulator went bad, or two, your battery shorted out. Or both. You will be money ahead, to change out your charging system, and install a Deka battery. ETX20L 310cca. You can get it on Amazon. Charging system and EHC, www.wildsteedworx.com

I think I hurt the EHC by using a 10 amp battery charger on it. I knew better but did it anyway and I think I'm paying the price now. I did not have the problem until after the charging incident. Has anyone used the Elektronik EHC?

Most of us are running that unit. There are others on the market, but this one has the best warranty. I'm a BD repair shop, and install many of these units

What year BigDog are you talking about? Obviously pre ‘04. I think you can still get replacement thunderheart modules.

The thunderheart is the module used in the BDM RIP and Dead one ESC kits.

You can in fact wire it in yourself, but it’s a lot more work, and you need a lot of electrical knowledge.

This is how I did mine.
