EHC led lights/reset

Well seems like your on track. Now I have a new issue. May be all related. So, I turned the key on the yellow light is still solid.
So I thought I would try to start the bike. Pushed the start nothing happens. The 6th light on the EHC red is brightly lite.
According to the manual that is the oil sending light. Then the starter kicks over but not very long. I turned the key off and
the EHC reset green and yellow lights on. So, this time I pushed the run/off (kill switch) the 6th light come on again.
So either there is a bad control board or for the switches which could be causing the yellow light or its as you say a bad
battery. When the starter did work after a momentary pause the engine kicked over hard/fast short spurt. I guess I will start
with the battery first put a different battery in. Do you have a battery that you would recommend. Maybe I should get
some new switch boards too.
Thanks for you time sure appreciate the feedback

It can't hurt to have a new battery (possible shorted cell issue) but I'm thinking from the info you have given it will not fix your problem. Not sure which manual you are looking at but the oil system doesn't have a fault light. Because you said you rebuilt the bike it's possible you have some incorrect wiring going on. Think back on all the areas you worked on and recheck your work.
Disconnect each circuit one by one starting with the headlight and see if it changes your fault lights. Page 32 of the manual has a good picture of the fault lights. The yellow light is showing a short or an over-current so if you remove the problem by disconnecting the respective circuit it will go out. You mention the 6th red light on the EHC and from the diagram that would indicate the left or right rear turn signals. Another good place to disconnect to see what happens.
Regardless of what ultimately fixes the problem check your Circuit Breaker to be sure it's not tripped or you will be happily rideing down the road only to find your battery going dead because it's not charging.
Good Luck

Mike in Jersey. My neighbor is from Jersey, nice guy. I have approached this issue as you have stated above and I think I am
getting close to the issue. I pulled the right control apart to make sure that the buttons all worked. They did.
Prior to this issue Something amiss between the starter and the start button.
When I press the run button a LED #6 comes lit. Press it again goes off. Press the start button after the
run and the #5 LED lights up. But the starter isn't catching for a few seconds when it does it won't stay on for hardly a
spin. I have a 2007 service manual and the LED EHC description is much different than my K9. non efi.
No were have I been able to find an actual wiring schematic for the bike.
That would probably help.
Thanks for responding appreciate it.

This will answer most of your electrical questions. Read all of it. Page 32 has the fault light locations. The wire diagrams are on the last pages. The cranking issue you are having could just be the battery or connections. Get the battery load tested because it's the only way to know for sure if it's good. Also know the Ehc on BigDogs does not like a failing battery and will punish you for low voltage or low amps :D
