Doing a check in.
So far we are home. Jonathan, todd&toni, Eric, Chong is about half way home. Haven't heard from Keith yet.
Let us know when yall arrive home safely!
Miss everyone already!
Thanks, Yep I am back all good got in around 6PM. Hopefully Chong doesn't end up with another flat or two!

Big THANKS to Dave & Buffy for offering up their new place, was absolutely beautiful! I am sure they enjoy their new location, and what they have done to the place in a short time is pretty damn amazing. They have obviously been going flat out. Might as well mention @DamnitDale he joined the forum there let's see if he posts! Always nice to see him as well, I heard he's got a lot of upcoming paint to get done!!

Took me an extra hour to get home I was fighting a 20mph headwind or crosswind the entire way, just depended on if I was going North or West and I needed to do both therefore no way outta of it. I just took a few extra gas stops to just get off the bike a few more times.

I did stay on 400 a little more than on my way down to try and make up a little time, I regretted that choice to save just 15 min. 400 is the worst if the wind is blowing.

I left with a sweatshirt and leather jacket in the AM I eventually was at least able to get some sun and take that off for a few hours in the afternoon, that did make it a little more enjoyable!

Looking forward to retirement
Dave, what a fabulous gathering. Sorry I wasn’t more attentive. Chubs sent me home with peach so yes I am finally relaxing after today. The farm is fabulous. You and Buffy did an amazing job. When you get 2 days off and want to do a bounce trip down here, I’ll load you up with pvc pipe for conduit and electric cable to wire it all in. Thank you again Dave & Buffy!!❤

I got in about 8:30 last nite. Like Eric I fought the wind heading home. Glad everyone is home safe....miss y'all. David, you and Buffy have flat out busted ass on the 2.0, making it just what you want. Thank you for the opportunity to spend time on the farm, and in the toyhauler! Ima do my best to get another trip in before it gets too chilly.
Here is another vid from the fun.

Sitting out in the shed with joe dog tonight and thinking back over the last week which ended far to quickly. Thinking about and reliving the replays and antics of those in attendance make for a very satisfying evening. Bonfires and memories, it just doesn’t get any better than that.

I’m in a state of awe that so many come from so far away just to be together ,like a family reunion that you actually excited to go to . We are all extremely different and come from all walks of life and would never have gotten together if not for the love of these Big Dog motorcycles. But what a fine family it has became and I’m so blessed to have all of you come and spend time And let me share with this group , a place to congregate and make the most valuable memories possible. It was said by many this last week that if the circle of life prevented us from riding the bikes that it wouldn’t even matter because we’d still get together and hang out for the bonfires and memories. Thank You to everyone for allowing me to be a part of this.

Keith was first to arrive and face his fears and he rode that trike like he stole it and I’m so proud of him .

Mike blessed us all with the very nice gifts that he made for us and they were so cool. Joes food bowl will go in the china cabinet.

Rich and Robbin were blessed with twin grand babies this weekend so we won’t be graced with they’re attendance unless we move the dates to accommodate which I see happing .

Bryon made all the signs and banners which as always was just top notch.

Shamrock ,still dealing with health issues came over three days to help and be with everyone even if he didn’t feel like riding. He and patty followed in the truck in case it was needed .

Hman as always was camp cook which we all greatly appreciated his Skill is Second to none.

All the lady’s helped and just took over at meals and made some tasty treats and set out some mean feed lines and us men were so spoiled.

Jonathon Brought up some of the best food and no one went hungry.

Eric treated us to a fine meal on Friday during the ride

chubs outdid himself with the farm fuel and much thanks.

Shannon shared with us the gift of ruby. This little 4 month old little, lady impressed everyone here With her manners and intelligent obedience .

Chong brought that French frie machine that’s industrial size so we overdosed on the best fry’s ever.

Knottybooboo kept us entertained with stories told in A way only the knotthead can do it.

it was fun watching Rick and Roger carry on like only they can do and some day I hope I can be just like them .

These are just some of the recaps while I’m reminiscing tonight

Thank you all for coming and a huge Thanks for helping out to make this I feel the best Party on the farm ever.

Chime in to let us know everyone got home safe .

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
Mastiff Dave said it all—THANK YOU ALL for the generosity and making the personal connections we value.
I reflect on how this get-together has grown from early days and has become a remarkable phenomenon—started with a few guys in tents showing up at Dave’s farm. I don’t know how much Dave has spent to accommodate this group, but it would sure buy chrome to feed my K9!! To say nothing of the work he did on the drive up to his place. The same can be said for Knothead’s marvelous Tennessee gathering last spring. And the plentiful food and drink.
To paraphrase James Lee Burke: “Shutting down this event is more an act of theft than a phenomenon.”
Nothing like it in the world.

Knows some things
It's really great to see that everybody had a great time. These gatherings are nothing short of the finest living on the face of this Earth. I do believe that most would skip a family reunion to be at a Gathering.
After having a little trouble on Tuesday on the way down, it was great to relax for a few days. After we left Sunday, we went up to table Rock lake to spend another night. Tuesday morning we went over to dogwood canyon, and hike 6 MI before making a mad dash for Springfield, because I had a eye doctor's appointment. I got home Monday night about 9:30, I didn't even unload the bikes I just parked the trailer. Loaded up my toolbox and ready for work today.

I think I can still use the center out of this wheel to weld in one that’s a little jimmied, NOT.. The under side of the trailer axle is what took all the damage and we all should send up a praise of thanks to the good lord for allowing our buddy Chong to make the gathering in one piece. There is no physical explanation available as to how that spindle and tire stayed attached to that trailer.. I’m so glad that you got home ok Chong and really proud of keith for all the additional help of escorting you home. .

Big thanks to Dave and Buffy! Words can't describe what it is like to get together at one of these gatherings. Ok maybe one word "Family"!20220923_195401.jpg

Thanks to everyone who participated helped brought and cooked. Harry the BBQ was excellent, Jonathan the shrimp and fish was amazing, and Keith the brats were perfect.

The friendships, bonfire memories, and stories will be cherished.

We raced home unhooked not even unloading, went straight to our daughters house to meet a couple blessings! IMG952268.jpg

Welcome to the family Carson and Colton.
