Wish there was an easier way to freshen up old exhaust. The Kerker exhaust system was hands down the best exhaust for these bikes. Both sound and performance. I'm hanging on to mine,

I couldnt agree more...i loved the deep throaty sound...i should have kept both of mine....that was a dumbass move on my part...but i got 850 for both of them and money sounded good at the time...ive had these for awhile just cant find the front heat shield for it on line or anywhere....they r scratched up and i really dont want to spend the money on them to make them look good again...figured maybe someone might need the baffle or exhaust bracket....honestly if i could buy new ones i would and get the other exhaust off my bikes

I found my pipe had been welded before so it's not worth welding again, it'll just crack again.

thx, I will take them.

email me at mikewild13@gmail.com and I will give you info.

Thanks,
Mike

Sir Knothead has certainly gone above and beyond for me here. He has made sure I will have everything I need to make this repair. I'm actually taken back by his kindness. This fella has his spot in heaven secured. And to top it off, he gave me some tech tips that should be a topic on their own. I'm glad we talked about oil filters because I was using the wrong one. This forum needs a shoutout section so we give proper recognition to these guys like Knothead and Mr.Wright who have the knowledge and willingness to help out new guys like myself find our ways around these wonderful motorcycles.

I know. Just giving him a hard time. Glad you were able to get him going.
Mr. Wright! Thank you for the gas saver disk you made for me. It is a work of art and fills a need that no one else has. I just wanted to mention this outstanding member and thank him publicly. I've only been part of this forum for a short time but what I have learned here has me in a good place at understanding these magnificent machines.
Thank you Mr.Wright!
