Your float is sticking or your needle valve has dirt in it. Drain the carb and pull the bowl off. Look to see if the float is moving freely. Hold up on the float and turn the petcock on. If fuel is leaking, the needle valve is dirty or may need replaced.Gas is flowing from the carb overflow when the fuel petcock is on. Anyone know why that would occur?
If you have never removed the bowl from your bike before read up on how it's done. There is a small o-ring on top of the enrichener nozzle that you need to be aware of and install when you put the bowl back up. Also pay attention to the accelerator pump rod, It can be left in place but can fall down.
