Hello fellas, just got a new ignition switch from Donna and Eric for my 08 k9 says its plug and play but when I pulled the old ignition off it has 3 wires going to the old one, the new one just has a 4 or 5 pin plug which I see where to plug it in but what about the 3 wires I'm gonna have loose? Any ideas? Thanks.

Yeah ur ehc was changed to a wireplus...u have to run a sportster 3 way key switch instead of the factory key switch....u sure ur key switch is bad or has the wireplus took a shit on you?....not saying it has went bad but its odd for that style key switch to go bad...usely the wireplus will fail way before the switch

Well problem was as I was headed home from work on the interstate at 4am at 75mph passing a semi all my lights died! Freaked me the hell out!! It was only seconds but still! So I noticed they kept flickering like it was a bad connection somewhere and at one point I jiggled the key a bit and found that was the problem. I've noticed for awhile now that the ignition switch was loose in the housing so after speaking with u yesterday I pulled it out scuffed up the connections and put it all back in good and tight and it seems to be good now. Hopefully thats all it was, just loose and vibrating the key out of position, its good and tight now.

HDM has brand new key switches. Rock solid swtch. I too have a WiresPlus installed but the OG keyswitch will work just fine.

Edit: next time I will read a bit closer. Call Eric @ HDM. See if he can shed any light on it.....he may even have a jst connector?

Thanks HMAN! I'm gonna see how she does and if it acts up again I will definitely swap it out. Least now I know what it is. Lights out at 75mph on interstate will pucker the ole spinkter muscle a few notches!
