K&P or Sifton oil filter?

Energy One
I have a sifton filter and am going to do an oil change soon.
how do I clean it - take it apart, scrub it with Dawn detergent, wash it out and let it dry?
Simple as that.
Don't really even need to scrub it. Just make a little detergent, drop the parts in and let them soak for a minute, swish around rinse and dry.
If you have compressed air just blow it dry and put it back together.
Solvent tank is even easier just swish around and blow off.

I have not seen these before. Do they install like a normal filter, but they're cleanable and re-usable ? From WSW web site, looks like you could alternatively replace internal paper elements ?

Seems like a no-brainer upgrade - it would pay for itself in a year or two if you ride much. And doesn't seem any harder to clean and re-use than K&N air filters everybody has.

How many people run these ?

easier than the K&N air filters.
I love not having to replace filter every time I do fluids at 10-15K miles a yr filters start to add up and the KP pays for itself very quickly.
Plus I've never be given the wrong filter again.
Got a filter that was in wrong box at a store so I had a TC filter that I put on an EVO -- not pretty -- very very messy till we figure out what it was!

What is the model number of the K&P oil filter that would fit my 2003 Pitbull? S4? Do these filters really help the motor run Cooler?

Same thing.
I have a sifton and looks exactly same as the picture.

btw is that an oil filter wrench that fits the Sifton/K&P?

I noticed the potential for a wrench at the end of the filter but figured the filter flutes were too short. If you know the size/#flutes I'll pick one up next time I'm at an auto parts store.
