good "social distancing" work! haha

Everyone should be spending time getting their bikes shined up and ready to rock and roll once we do away with this thing getting passed around! Will be good to see everyone else's pictures... I was working on my k9 all weekend and playing around with some stuff! Still got more stuff to do! Got the starter changed out and changed the oils. Got a few other things to do then finish the shine and get the rigid up to snuff it needs even more cleaning than the k9!

Actually I had a serious vibration just on the right hand control and right foot control after I went through this K9 and I replaced the handlebar bushings and made sure all the motor bolts were tight and I was about to take the whole trans out and check the shimming on it and before I started I noticed I was missing one of the 6 bolts! One of the only things I didn't do on this rebuild was remove the whole transmission I had the main door off but never checked the bolts! Luckily it was one of the only 6 I could get to without having to take the shocks off so that saved me a few extra hours! Hopefully that fixes the issue!

Wish I could get into it Eric..got a slight oil leak I need to figure out also with much needed cleaning. Still have a Vette project I want to get done by summer and working long days. No complaints mind you, many are out of work and I am blessed to have a job to go too. I’ll get it done eventually:oldsmile:

I have the right side of the engine to do, and then she'll be done. I might go over the wheels again, just because I have time, and I want more of a chrome type of shine. I'll post when I get her done.

I will probably be riding Saturday, just take a run to Labadie, Hawthorne Inn is doing curbside.

What polish did you use to clean the actual motor case with? like the piece behind the cam cover? 90 percent of my bagger is chrome but the engine case and a few other parts are still billet, and you made that thing shine as good as chrome...
I used Mother's Billet polish for the finish, if you have areas that are heavily stained, I used 2000 and then 3000 grit sandpaper, followed by Mother's Mag polish (which is coarser) and then the billet. To clean between the fins, I used wood shims from Home Depot that I cut to fit over the polishing cloths.
