Seems like there is not alot of info on the Big Dog Bagger. Don't see any advertisment for them. Curious, how many were made and for how long? Would these become a rare collector item? Or did they try to compete with Harley? Curious.
Probably the upfront costs will keep it from happening. The question is...when are they going to start making these awesome baggers again (instead of trikes?!)?
collector's item!!!!! Even tho about 109 made it out of the kennel, some of those dogs have been laid to rest. I've been told that out of the 15 anniversary baggers that only 9 are still clear titled. Meaning 6 have been either salvaged titled or total lost and scraped out for parts. So, by going by the 109 total baggers that brings you to 103. So how many of the 2010 models have been lost thru the years? These baggers could actually end up being one of the rarest production bikes out there. I just hope that eventually that will bring the price up on these bikes to off set how much it is to keep them kept up and road ready.Never seen that flyer before. Interesting. So looks like there may be only about 109 out there? If so that's not alot.
I remember seeing that white one in parts for sale and I think one other one. To bad there is not a way to find out how many are still titled and on the road. Remember the black one in Michigan the guy bought from someone in Fla. and there were two anniversary ones sitting next to it in a barn? It was posted on here.View attachment 68898View attachment 68899View attachment 68901
I knew i remembered seeing these. The assembled one was $15000 cause i had thought about buying it but when i called about it it had been sold.
Cool story MR64....nice bit of info there, thanksYes i do remember that. And the guy selling the white one had the orange one too. But there is a way to find out how many baggers are left on the road. Go to the local DMV and aak them. But it will only be the ones in the U.S. they cant search overseas bikes. I think a search and print off runs about 50 to 100 dollars.
I did a paper in college about classic cars and tracking their history. And needed to know how many were still titled in the U.S. it was on the 69 camero with a stock 302 chevy small block. And yes chevy did make a 302 before converting to the 305. It was made 1 year only and was exclusive to the 69 cameros. There were 382 chevy cameros made that come stock with a 302 chevy motor. Costed me 50 bucks and 2 weeks wait time to get the info i needed. But that was in 1998. So no telling how much quicker you can get that now and im sure the price has went up.
The 302 was called a DZ302 when chevy made them....ive know where 4 DZ302 engines are with muncie 4 speeds hooked to them...less than 5 miles frim my house...and they all runYes i do remember that.
