How to repair a nick on the fender

I have a nick on the back lower part of my front fender. In the pic it looks worse that it really is. Do any of you know the best way to try and fix it without repainting that part of the fender? Is there a way to sand it and buff it out?

From the picture it's difficult to tell the depth of the scratch, you can repair it to the point it's not really noticeable. I would remove the fender so you could level the area where the scratch is and then using some matching paint (it looks like vivid black) and a toothpick slowly fill the scratch by multiple applications and then use some polishing compound to blend it in.

I think it more of a scuff mark. I cannot get my fingernail to stick in it so it not deep.

Saw at Walmart repair pens for paint, but don`t know they work good or not.

Use a little rubbing compound and water on your finger. Then buff it after the Mark is gone
