Protecting the bottom of your frame.

I had my K9 bike up on the lift and was checking out underneath. I noticed some good scratches I guess from trailer loading in the past. I bought some Dupli-Color Rust Barrier and brushed painted in the scratches. It says it seals corrosion, is impact resistant and drys to a flexible rubberized finish. After it cured I put some clear racers tape the length of the bottom of the frame to help protect against any future scrapes.

Do you guys do anything to protect the bottom of your frame?

I’ve scratched the bottom of my frame a few times entering gas stations with a curb that was a little high and I didn’t take a larger entry angle. Anyway, I haven’t done anything to repair it or protect it. Maybe I should. And, speed bumps really suck.

Not sure how much paint and tape helps when frame is hitting the curb etc, but having a fresh coat of pain there is never a bad idea

I regularly inspect for scratches that go through the paint to the metal.
Frame is black so I brush on Mar-Hyde liquid (comes in black) anywhere metal is exposed
