How to replace electric system with Motogadget m-unit

Big electric question from non-electrician person).

My bike is finaly ready with some metal works and now it`s time to solve the problem with electic system, because what it has inside is terrible.

In short i need to say, that it is a hard way to find a good and reliable specialist in the begining of a season, for my planed work with electric system. Good guys are busy, and others are not ready to do when the seeing scope of work. And what i have planed:

1. Change my stater for a new one, because the old one has problems with harness and sucking power from the battery.
2. Install Motogadget m-unit blue, you can read about this thing, but it replace many relays and fuses (especialy you can equip your bike with keyless function). So i need to put aside my old harness.

This processes are little easier to do, because i deleted gauges (only lights for neutral and oil), deleted turn signal (use my hands and love it) and deleted control swithes (only start and killswitch under my but).

I decided doing all works by myself, first if all because it is interesting for me, and for the second....well, i want by myself))). After reserching some forums and youtube chanels i realised that it is not so hard, but laborious. So i find a guy who will help with harness, because he is an electician in an oficial dealer at Mercedes-Benz centre.

But i need help to solve some problems

Just in case m-unit photo

So, i find a common diagram for custom bikes with m-unit

Most thing on this diagram is understandably, but i have a question about electronic ignition module.
The fact is that i have a old Thunderheart ignition module, and can`t find any diagrams and information about it.

I don`t know why, but the previuos owner, mount this system https://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/p...ntroduces-new-big-dog-hcm-retrofit-kit#page-2.
And this is the original thinderheart ignition that i found on this forum and it uses with standard cam sensor.

So, the quistion is, could i use this ignition with m-unit? Does it work properly without mulfunctions?
And how can connect wires correctly with cam sensor and stator (color of wires), because the previuos owner destroy them?) Maybe i can find a diagram.

P.S. I don`t want to buy singlefire ignition)).

Can’t see any pics... My quess is nobody have used Motogadget on Bigdog, it’s not Big in US. I have been looking at it and it looks pretty good. There is more info about it on You Tube/ Revival Cycles... My uneducated understanding is it should work with Thunderhart ignition. And yes, Wires Plus do suck and looks terrible.
I just installed Motogadget tiny digital speedo and I love it.

That's not true! A member on this site did use an M-unit, but I'm not sure if the thread is still on here because it was quite some time back. The install he did looked amazing and was surprisingly clean. I do think he had an issue with it eventually and I cant remember what it was. He did fix it though. I'm not quite sure why your so set on the M-unit when there have been leaps and bounds for new products out there now to correct the electrical issues with these scoots, but that's your decision and I wish you the best of luck. You might want to perform a search and see if the thread is still here.

Ok, I have selective reading. You want to eliminate some things, got it...

No wonder he had problems if he managed to make Motogadget assembly look like a mess and it does come with a manual if he bought it new. Also on their site is 44 pages manual/instructions.... Not to mention support e-mail...

What is untrue? That I didn’t remember our members having m-unit, or that wires plus is a mess
If you live in Europe, or in this case in Russia, M-unit may well be the easiest option to get hold of. Also it has some pretty neat options ... and no printer connectors Price ain’t too bad either. Give it a look

Yeah but u got to know this guy lol...he knows it all so if he had a manual he wouldnt use it....plus he is a rigger when it comes to that stuff....what i saw of it look pretty simple and easy to make a nice install...after i saw it its basically the same deal i used wiring up both of my jet boats...just a power distribution block basically

Axel don`t work there, he has his own Business.
Motogadget is possible and good Quality, but many work. The better way is Axel`s EHC.
You can speek with Axel, he is a very friendly man:

In this case I wonder if Axels is so easy if the bike has Wires Plus and God only knows what else has been done...

Doesn't the wire + hack up both harnesses?

Well depends on where they cut it to put on the wireplus...most everyone that did the wireplus cut it at the ehc connector and installed the supplied connectors at that point...so with that being said all you should have to have is the back bone harness with the factory ehc connector on it to plug into the new designed axel kit and off course remove ur full tank to hook the new harness into the bikes original wiring

Seems like in 2010 or so when I did mine on an 07 Bulldog I replaced both. That was almost 9 years and a lot of miles ago:)
