Hi Cesad....I have taken the clutch out of my K9 several times and never seen a compensator, mostly because 2007 K9's don't have them. Note below how the primary chain goes directly from the crankshaft pulley (41) to the clutch (not shown).
Harley uses compensator pulleys as a vibration damper--I'm sure some clever guy could devise one for Big Dogs, but I've never seen an example.
Save your Euros--- the Bandit is a very good clutch, but expensive enough, right?View attachment 59863
I'm impressed-had no idea one was available. If you wanted to smooth out some of the vibration, it would sure help. I'd sure like to know what design they used. Is there a schematic available to look at?thanks for the explanation, so do you think with the bandit kit is enought
Can we get more details and prices and some pics? I'm interested.Yes that´s us . We made the hole in the front of the primary and put the new derby cover with and o-ring on. There is a complete compensator kit that Big Dog made from 2009-2011 that we bought and installed. We have some kits in stock. It makes a big difference and saves the clutch and transmission.

My main problem for change it for a bandit it,s that for me is very very complicated to find the neutral and i have tried everything to ajust.I'm impressed-had no idea one was available. The bandit is a good clutch, but won't really address vibration. Having said that, note tens of thousands of BDM's get along fine without it. But if someone made it available to me, I'd probably put in on my bike. Then I could use chrome foot pegs......
Adjusting the clutch on these is a royal pain sometimes. Here is what works for me, after you do the adjustment with the pushrod and button up everything start the bike and put it in first gear and back the bike down a slight incline if you feel any resistance at all start adjusting the cable a 1/4 turn at a time until you feel no resistance when backing down the incline. My main problem for change it for a bandit it,s that for me is very very complicated to find the neutral and i have tried everything to ajust.

Thanks! Please could you explain me with more detail how to do it it,s for me complicated understood
Thanks for sharing the info.Hey guys, I´ll take some more photos and explain it all. This is all original BDM parts. I will lay up everything and show you in the photos. We put the compensator in a bike that had a bandit clutch and it works fine.
