Anyone have any spare tins lying around? This isn't necessarily for purchase but I'll PM you the details. Trying to help out a friend/long time member.

IMG_0691.jpg IMG_0692.jpg I have all tins for a 2006 he would need to get a new rear fender unless the 2008 has a 250 tire. I had these tins painted by no other than Ed the Big Dog paint Guru.

IMG_0708.jpg IMG_0709.jpg IMG_0710.jpg IMG_0711.jpg and More of the same Not going to be cheap but dam good paint job. I paid $3600 and I think $2500 is a fair price. Fender are painted black on the back side and I have a new petcock and gas cap paint save to go with it. Even have the rear fender rubber seal and wire harness and tail lights complete all for the same amount plus shipping

Little Boo, are you saying you have spare tins that you replaced with these with the art or you are selling these?
What I am saying is that these tins are extra, my bike still has the original Tins. I had a spare set of New Tins that I sent to Ed (Air-Brush Ed) and had planed to change the Tins every other year. But since I have Peripheral Neuropathy I don't ride the Dog as much as I'd like too cause I can barley feel my feet. I cannot really shift without looking to see where my feet are. I am scared to drop the bike so I ride a Tri- Glide which make things easier. I still take the dog for a walk once in a while cause I installed a toe-heel shifter and that helps but very uncomfortable cause I have to use braces for stability or fall on my ass because I have no strength in my ankles. Anyway these tins are extra that Ed painted for me. I love them but in order to use them I would need to take the dog and make it a trike just to be on the save side. So if I make it a trike would not be able to use the rear fender anymore so might as well sell the set already painted.

My condition is hard to explain, cause without the braces I can ride but when I stop I loose my balance because of the lack of strength in my ankles, and with the braces it make thing very stiff and uncomfortable, so am just playing it safe not to hurt the bike or myself.

Hey Boo, you tired of it already?
No Ed I love this tins, I just never did install them for reasons that I wish would go away. One of them being old age  the other being medical precaution:D. If I don't sell them they will bury my with them and the bike too.

I'm sorry Little Boo. I totally understand. My dad has neuropathy. Thank you for explaining. I hope you can do the trike conversion so you can enjoy them.

Looking forward to retirement
Carlos, last time I was in Sturgis I saw a vendor who does conversions on choppers making it a trike with independent suspension to allow for a much better ride.
