i got my new pipes and I need to pull the flanges off the old ones. I know I need to get that clip off but have no idea. Any help? I also picked up 2 different styles of exhaust gaskets. Not sure which to use.

I think I have the flange figured out. But there was no gaskets when I pulled it off. I have wire mesh angled ones and flat copper ones.

but be careful, after all, they are fine steel wire and will poke the shit out of you. the angled ones are the ones to use.

Ill grab a screwdriver and double check the gasket. Ran into a small issue with the new pipe. The flange doesn’t fit over the pipe. Gonna sand it down a touch.

put the gaskets in the freezer for a few hours before you try to install them to shrink them some, might make it a little easier to get the in. put the beveled side out.

looks like the same reason why i get 4 new gaskets when i'm replacing 2 of them. glad i'm not the only one that does that.
