'05 Ridge w/ 6200 miles. 3 kickstands,wiring harness,4 primary bolts,clutch basket, starter,tach/speedo. They age like cheese and wine, the older they get it seems the better they are. Mine was a pain the first 1.5 year, but I think I have it all ironed out. Just waiting for that clutch cable to go out at 10k like everyone elses seems to.

I guess my cherry got busted fast. 2008 K9. I took it in for 500 mile service and had them fix the run button. It wanted to turn over sometimes(usually in front of a crowd)when pressing run instead of the start. Happened about 200 miles in, and I just waited for the do it all one trip thing. Under warranty, but damn, practically right off showroom floor.

Only ~3700 on '07 K9, but no major problems, and that includes some long rides in the rain. Even after being dormant for a month while being shipped to Alaska, it fired right up as soon as we got it out of the crate.

For my 02 Bulldog, I've replaced the starter and battery with higher CCA. The bike was about 3 years old when I put the Terry Components starter on. No other problems.

4500 and nothing to speak of, fogging speedo= who cares and a bolt recall on the rear struts,had to tighten upper motor mount once but other than that flawless. No complaints from me.

I work on a lot of Dogs, and what I have found is 90% of the problems I've worked on is owner created. Lack of maintenance and / or taking it to a shop that doesn't work on Dogs and they cobble it together. These babies are the finest custom production bikes built. The 3 EHC's I've replaced, 2 had a battery short out and take it out, and the other had a loose plug, that broke a pin. The two transmissions were abused badly. And most of the oil leaks were caused by plugged up vents, or loose bolts.

Fog didn't bother me much either as long as I could see the odometer, new Autometer(?) wasn't much better. I sent it back to the factory and they fixed it by spraying X-rain inside the meter. That worked for a few rides on rain... Now I started losing numbers on odometer, that bothered me more, so I got a Dakota digital yesterday. I would prefer analog, but.... Broken VR took out the Wires Plus but that was $250 and few minutes to fix.

Mine was doing that before I pulled the felt off that hole in the back so the temp levels could even out quicker. It eventually died anyway and I replaced it with a Dakota Digital.

NO problem 41000 miles, just normal maintenance - so far i have done all of my own work

All work done to my bike was by choice, ESC replaced the PDM because the f'n birds nest of wires that the PDM had, 630 woods cam because I felt like it, decked heads for the same reason. In general my mastiff has been very good for me, I am a stickler for proper maintenance and if it is properly maintained they wont let you down..
2006 K-9 with 25K miles, one thrust bearing later and runs like a champ. 2010 Bagger with 55 miles, long list of "storing issues" but runs like a champ now. And so far I've done 100% of the work myself. No doubt the best bikes ever made, and I am just about to add one more to the pund for other respons than riding it. I'm playing with the thought of getting a K-9/Ridgeback/Mastiff/Pittbull and build it for a lottery where 100% of the profits goes to veterans in need. Got some good connections for the lottery but need to find a bike for real cheap that can be rebuilt to be a one off I can advertise to the effect very few people wont know about it.
