Oh, well I'm glad I went this route.. these bolts are made from chromoly bdenum.. which is a bit stronger then stainless and zinc coated stainless.. just did a bit of research before getting bolts and dude at fastenal showed me this chart and all that good stuffStainless steel
Looks great Kel,I was thinking the ez-outs were probably not gonna do it, drill and tap is the way to go, good job,
hey you might wanna do Ker's trick on the foot pegs, looks like yours are gone!

Just think how long it would've taken without that expert supervision ya had there !! Somebody had toSo, easy outting em out wasn't working, so just went through the bits up sizing until I got to 21/64, then tapped it out using the 3/8 × 16 bit.. keeping everything lubricated with pb blaster so didn't hurt me bits or the frame. Good to go for another 10k miles I'm hoping.. these bolts are alot stronger then the factory zinc bolts.. so I think I'll be good! And of course my little man was helping along the way!View attachment 37470 View attachment 37471 View attachment 37472 View attachment 37473 View attachment 37474

Right.. that little guy and my oldest daughter is always in the garage whenever I'm working.. years ago before the dog I was putting a new radiator in my chevelle and she got on the creeper and went under and put the hose clamp on with the nut driver.. she was 4 at the time.. they pay close attention whenever I'm working, weather it's drywall, wood work or automotive.. they dig it and so do I..Just think how long it would've taken without that expert supervision ya had there !! If ya could only keep em that age ! they seem to get about 16 or 17 and know everything, then they get older and it sinks in that they didn't know anything at 16 or 17. Then they get ta be up in the years and think they know everything all over again. I know this is true cause I'm old and know everything. (except the fact that I'm usually wrong) By the way, nice job on the struts

Hey had just taken his shoes off right before the wife shot the pics.. lol.. but yeah I don't play when it comes to safety except riding my bike without a helmet sometimes.. yeah after I found these bolts I replaced the other side to match.. duh!! Lmao.. jkjk.. anyways.. yeah I replaced a lot of the bolts.. these are superior bolts to factory.. so immature find out. According to the charts and all that, they are.. we shall seeI was really happy to see the little guy had on the appropriate eye protection around the drilling portion of the job,
but those drill chips can get mighty painful on those little bare feet !
OH YEAH, almost forgot ! Did ya replace the bolts in the other side to match?

I'm fortunate enough to be kinda like a jack of all trades.. so remodeling and add ons.. r cheap for me. Lol.. so is it if a car breaks down, which don't happen much in my house full of Mopar! LolYou were doing good until you mentioned drywall. my neck starts hurting just thinking about it
I'm curious, is there a mark on the bottom of your seat where the head of that screw on top of the + side of your battery is?
Yeah I got that one too.. loldid you replace that missing bolt on the battery box ???????
Not understanding the question brother.. read it a few times.. lol..I'm curious, is there a mark on the bottom of your seat where the head of that screw on top of the + side of your battery is?
The screw head looks awful high on the plus side of the battery, I had a mark on the underside of my seat where the screw was touching the seat, it did not wear the felt thru to hit the metal, yet, I put a piece of rubber over that screwNot understanding the question brother.. read it a few times.. lol..
Ohh!!.. lol.. ya know I will look here in a few hours when I get out.. I don't think so..The screw head looks awful high on the plus side of the battery, I had a mark on the underside of my seat where the screw was touching the seat, it did not wear the felt thru to hit the metal, yet, I put a piece of rubber over that screw
