... It's not the oil used, it's how clean that air filter is maintained.

I kinda like Sven. Yea he's a bit off-the-cuff sometimes but very smart knows his shit. I think your comment resembles watching a weekly tv show you don't really like then complaining to the world you hate it. Turn it off! You know, Members, Settings, People you Ignore works very well in this forum I might add. But calling him an idiot. Doesn't really apply..Sven is an idiot ! Not because he doesn't understand and know his shit! But because no one else can understand his dip shit postings!
Fuck he is only asking about what oil to change!
And you have all this other crap
I haven't learned shit from any of your post. Get to the point please!
I am glad you care but stop with all the crap and get to the point
Sorry I am not polite but this shit is ripping the ass out of me

Your poor dog -- only gets an oil change once a year -- that means its not being ridden enough.with Mr Old Fart,
I have never seen 15/50, 20/50 yes. I always change my oils yearly, whether its 2-2500 miles on the Dog, or 3-4000 on my vehicles and I use Mobil 1.![]()

I usually have to do 4 or 5 changes a year.
That's true, but I like to give equal time to the other toys I enjoy, so the Dog does spend time in the cage

I think you need to re read my post! I wasn't calling him an idiot because he doesn't know his shit. I was calling him an idiot because of the long drawn out post at answering a very simple question of, how much oil to use and type.I kinda like Sven. definitely agree.I think you need to re read my post! I wasn't calling him an idiot because he doesn't know his shit. I was calling him an idiot because of the long drawn out post at answering a very simple question of, how much oil to use and type.
I stand by my post, I too like Sven and trying to help out with answering questions but some of the post are just too drawn out, which is why I asked him to get to the point

I have an 04 107cu Ridgeback and would like to baby it as far as the best fluids.
Anyone run synthetic oils in your choppers?
I know its more expensive but I know in my cars it's been worth it.
I haven't ran across a truly bad oil since Quaker State reformulated the shit goop they used to sell. That being said, some oils are a lot better than others, but nobody who changes their oil and filter within 2-3 times the recommended mileage will ever see the difference. As for the viscosity, that entirely depends on the clearances/tolerances of the parts build. The one true difference between oils is between off-road and emissions compliant stuff. Some of the anti wear additives such as zinc have been removed from the on-road stuff for emissions compliance.I'm surprised at all the variancesbut to each there own
