Dang Fitzy! :oldwtf: special turn signal flashers, kick stand switches,:oldeek: is it legal to use your speedometer to indicate your wheels are rotating?:oldconfused: You might try to find a small normally closed, momentary pushbutton switch, or a small microswitch that you could hide under the frame. The switch would be open when the stand is up, and closed when the stand is down. Shouldn't take too heavy of a switch! Stay Safe down there!

This is a new one. We have quite a few Oz riders none have mentioned this one

Dude, are you divulging too much information to the inspectors? Sounds like you just handed over the schematic to the inspectors. I'd have to agree with Eric, haven't heard anyone from your sector mention having to have that connected. Not sure if they were ever connected on our scoots. Are they going to check the angle sensor also? This sounds like too much!

Hell, some of the funniest times were when a newbie tried to start the bike with it in gear....

:hi:You might try PHI inc. Based out of Lafayette La ( P.O. box 90808 Lafayette La. 70509). They fly for offshore wells, mining and air medical. I've met several of their pilots through working with their medics and nurses, and they all seem to like the business. :yesnod: Just a thought if you're serious,

I switch a motor out for a friend of mine years ago in a little rx7. He said he'd give me a Yamaha 650 that would not run to do the work. Nice little bike at the time. After getting his car back to him the next day. I pick up the bike. Started looking it over and took a stab in the dark and took the kickstand switch off and jumper the wires. The bike started right up.

This reminds me of one time when I might have not been in such a great state of mind and forgot to remove the front wheel lock before taking off with the wifey on the back! :oldbang:OMG! :oldwtf:It was like hitting a wall! She slammed forward into me and knocked me into the tank so I could not hold up the bike with both of us on it and down we went on the exhaust side of the bike! Her leg was under the bike so I thought she might be burned by the exhaust or hurt and I just grabbed the bike and jerked it up and "Pop" I tore the muscle in my right bicep! Not fun at all,:nonod: so these days I don't use wheel locks anymore, if someone wants to steel the sucker, let em have it, it's insured! :oldlaugh::old2:

That was on the dog?

That's why I run the disc lock with an alarm you can't forget it's there.

Yep, on the dog! It was a miricle that nothing got broken or dented, :yesnod: I think the passenger peg and my grip held it up just enough to save it from getting all screwed up, just a few scratches on the peg and grip! :oldmad: As far as the one's with the alarm on them I never thought about that Eric, I didn't know the alarm went off on those by just movement of the bike, I thought you had to roll the bike to set those off! So looks like that would be a good option then. :old2:
