So I looked for threads about this with no luck so here's my question. I was riding my 2008 k9 an it dies so I turned the key off when I switched it back on the horn continously blows it won't start or anything. Minutes before this I switched headlight to bright haven't used the left side hand controls in awhile....also from time to time it won't start with the right hand controls either but I have a slam button from WSW....any help is appreciated

I hope yours is an easier solution but I was having a similar problem and ended up being the ehc. Randomly use the left or right control and horn would blow and bike would die etc etc...replaced ehc and no problems since. Hope its just a weak battery. How oftwn does it die and horn blow?

Thanks guys goin to check battery tomorrow.....this is the first time it's happened with the horn blowing....it has not started a few times with the start button tho I will keep u updated on what I find out

Check for a short in the headlight wire, check under the tank. I had mine do that once. Every time I turned the key on the horn would blow. Had a direct short. Hot wire was grounding out.

If every time you turn the key on the horn continuously blows, not on and off (beeps) but continuously blows and nothing else works, you have a short, something is grounding out. I would start under the tank and work my way to the headlight and then back to the button. Check for chaffed wires :2cents:

Yes....I understand hooked battery an it comes back on when I hook it back up
You can remove it and send it to Curtis for him to check it out, but your prolly going to be needing a new one. There are 3 choices to go with, DOC's ESC, RIP -2 or Axel's EHC, do a little searching here and pick the one you feel the most comfortable with, I personally have changed mine out for one of DOC's ESC with voltage monitoring.
