Some of this may seem silly, but I am looking for some part numbers and/or real names for some parts....
I decided to try my hand at changing the bearings on my BDL primary.... After swearing a lot, I got it all apart, and now I want to make sure that I am getting this all right as I change out seals/bearings...etc.
My questions are....
Is the seal that is behind the stator cover called the main oil bearing seal? And if so, how do I know which one I should buy? I have a 2004 10th anniversary Chopper, with a 117. (I know people have told me that the 117 wasn't available in 2004, but I have checked and rechecked this on several occasions. The 117 was brought in as an option late in the 2004 production)
The seal/gasket behind the front final pulley (the one attached to the transmission) is called what? And does anyone know where I can find the part number?
Also looking for the part number for that pulley. I have found one on eBay, but I do not know if the part number is correct for my bike.
Any and all help is appreciated. And please feel free to degrade me and make fun of my lack of internal knowledge of my Dog. LOL
