Hey people, the only thing the oil in your primary is for is to lube your chain. It is not for the clutch. you can run the clutch in an open primary, which uses no fluid.
Yup, but some oils are known to make clutch slip, some make plates stick more easily....

Amsoil, Revtech are great but pricy. Right now I am running Drag Specialties brand in both primary and trans. Shifts really smooth and I have had no issues with it yet.

Wait... Am I under the enormous misconception that the primary oil doesn't lubricate the "wet clutch" plates???

Keep in mind that wet and dry clutches have different sized surface areas. My wet compared to dry are different. The dry requires more surface area... :old2:
