Hum, Yes stock EHC. When I check power to module I took apart the four wire plug going to the module and check the red wire from the EHC. When I hit the run button. Then plugged it back in and took apart the three wire plug going to the cam sensor and had power on the red wire also.
When you check for 12v across the red, put your positive lead on the red pin and the negative lead on the black pin. I had an issue a few years ago where I had 12v on the power but if if I tested the pins I found the pin on the ground broke and ended up having to ground the unit directly to the battery.

Is that how you did it? I know it's a pain in the ass.

Any spark at the plugs?

Shit no I held the black lead to the battery. I will check that way tomorrow. Hope it is that easy.
Seriously thinking of a rewire with a crane HI4 and just use the EHC for the lights.

Also the crane unit will work if it works for the Harley EVO big twin. Just be cognizant you have a dual fire coil so depending on the unit if it's single fire only you would need a new coil. I'm not 100% sure what the Crane is

Look at the DAytona twin tech. Seems like that one has a better reputation for quality although I have no experience. Just what I have read.

The crane HI4 I was looking at works with both single fire or dual. Only $200 Just looked up a
Daytona Twin Tec Model 1005 internal (Nose Cone) ignition and it's only $194.95

Either will work. I think with the twin tec you might need a new coil

I be a son of a BITCH.:eek: Just put a jumper from neg. to the Module and the red light lit. Dam bike started too. :boing::boing:
Haha badda bing brother. Cheap fix! No new parts needed. Some days even a squirrel finds a nut.

I never actually replaced the pin just ran the ground wire from the ignition mount bolt directly to the battery and had it there for a few years. I thought at some point I would eventually get a new ignition system so hadn't gone back in to fix the ground. Really having an ignition module with its own direct ground to the battery isn't a bad thing. Especially since you are still running the EHC.

Thanks again Th3InfamousI Yea that is probable what I will end up doing. There should be about 20 pins that are grounds. Wonder if any others are bad?
Most likely everything else is fine since your bike runs. You would know if you had any other issues with grounds, other things would not be working haha.

At least now you'll know to always check voltage across the circuit in question. Lol
