Back to the tire question, I have both and really don't notice any difference between the 250 an 300. Maybe it just something you get use to but never had any issues with either with the exception that they are both a bitch to buy and change :)
I've ridden a 300 and 330 and I don't notice the difference. It's not a 300 lb sport bike! You get used to the bigger fat tire and it's not a problem.
