See post #3Where does Curtis work and what's his contact info? I have an 07 K 9 that I need the EHC checked.
That's suprising, when my 07' was updated it did the double sweep and turned the headlight off when starting, I would wonder what one you have in there, did you buy the bike used and if so maybe it was changed out before you bought it.My 08 Ridgeback sweeps once.

He can, he did mine.Maybe Curtis can, the dealer did mine but those days are gone. Send him an e-mail and see if he can do it, I know he can check them to see if there any good.

The quick and dirty:does not sweep the speedometer twice when starting.
No additional charge for the reflashCurtis, Is there an additional fee for the reflash over the $46 EHC testing?
Hey thanks, cdogg. I can't help it. It's all about me hitting 'Post Reply' I start laughing my ass off. Not my situation or problem sort of try and sort it out anyway... see how lucky I am at the electrical roulette wheel.Sven, you are one funny but smart dude!![]()
I'm curious about that walk in the abstract. I'm assuming that speedo is giving me two clues with limited input on my end of the guess. One, Kobi did not say both no sweep and an inaccurate speedo. Two, the assumption that the increase of the last mph alone has dumped and is now in wait mode of a 0000 time frame so as no binary to calc in volts. So, if the sweep does the same 0000 RAM to ground, the speedo should theoretically work forever without the sweep. Maybe guess three ways is think of other BD speedo sweeps lost. No one is seeing a loss of mph as if it needed the sweep in other words.KappyA said:We can flash EHCs but not speedometers.
Can an original EHC from a 07 K9 be ref lashed? And what does that do for it?No additional charge for the reflash
I did have a half thought on this but waited for your answer. Look what you are saying as I'll paraphrase... "I shut it off, it dumps RAM, I turn it back on again, that's two key fobs of a dual sweep or dual memory dumps, then works fine."Most of the time I let it warm up a bit, shut it off and restart the bike and its fine.
That does not make sense. Look at what you are saying in the paraphrase... "I have a static 12.5v and there is no way the battery charges up to 12.8v on warm up. Rather, for some reason I turned the engine off, turned it back on and I recognized I have a working speedo. How is it I'm 12.5v to the good if 5v is all that is needed to compute for startup to begin with. I might not recognize the dual keyfob dump vs. dual sweep to ground; seems to be doing the same thing. Then all of a sudden the speedo works with a low battery."BD made a change to the speedo function to take another look at battery voltage after the bike is started, thus corrects the intermittent concern.
Any of the EHCs can be flashed. Can an original EHC from a 07 K9 be ref lashed? And what does that do for it?
