The new kit does not have a separate connection for the headlight, it utilizes the existing wires. About the low charge light option I am not sure if that is part of the new Gen II.Good job
Does the Rip GenII have the upgraded ceramic headlight socket? and do they offer a low charging light option?
On the last pic, what is the JST connector for coming out of the backbone?
It is a clean install. Just take time to route the wires to where it fits best on the bike. I have not been able to do a full test yet...I broke the starter after the install. I ordered the new starter front mount from Curtis and should finish the putting everything back together this Saturday, then I will test all the components to make sure that it is running correctly and controls work. I ordered the replacement EHC since my micro controller locked up. My bike would drive about two blocks then shut off. I went through every connection, and troubleshot the entire charging system before sending the EHC out for testing.Looks like a clean install. So you pulled out the old harness from the back bone and put the new harness in? Everything works like before?
Thanks for the call today Curtis, you have been extremely helpful with troubleshooting and diagnosing the old EHC, starter parts/rebuild, and getting the new Gen II up and running. I took the bike out for a 15 mile ride and all issues mentioned above are resolved. The issues were only present on the initial start-up and ride. Every time I have started the bike since everything has worked correctly. Could be the bike was pissed since it hasn't been rode in over 6 months.Eric is one of my customers and I have him working directly with me so we can get his issues resolved asap.
Thanks guys, slowing down lately though.
Both hips have gone bone on bone so I am facing a hip resurface or hip replacement x 2 in the coming months.
At the very least though the web site will stay running and I will endeavor to provide parts in a timely manner.
Don't rush the recovery, take it slow and easy. everyone here want's to keep ya around a while!

Eric, why did you go with the gen 2 RIP rather than DOC's or the wire plus replacemnt for your ehc.Install took about 2 hours and was a true plug and play.
Cons:
- Wires are longer than original.
- Horn connection came off during install.
- Difficult to fit all wires in the original location.
- Wires going in to new EHC has a plastic housing. (see pictures)

I went with the R.I.P Gen II kit because of Curtis at WSW, it was his recommendation, since it was new on the market. Curtis was always helpful and answered every questions I asked about troubleshooting the bike. I learned a lot during the process. I went through all the troubleshooting steps before sending out the EHC to Curtis before testing. Another thing that I liked is that the Gen II is a true plug-and-play and required no modification to fit. In previous postings I mentioned a few things that could be improved upon with this new kit. Overall I am please with how simple the install was, and that my bike is back up an running.Eric, why did you go with the gen 2 RIP rather than DOC's or the wire plus replacemnt for your ehc.
BTW wher in Houston do you live, I am from Sugarland
