Original pads do that so I upgraded to the Lydel Z-Pads and they are much quieter

cool thanks for the info, will replace when they are gone, its not loud or the end of the world was just curious.

I do think the stopping power of the front brake sucks though, it works but damn you have to squeeze like a mother.

Ray doesn't know what he's hearing.
Shit he has a constant buzzing in his ears now.
I've used stock, Lyndall's, Dunlo, SBS they all make the same sound and one isn't any louder than the other.

believe most of the noise is due to the drilled holes in the rotors. the rear makes the same noise, but you just can't hear it when you are going 75 mph.

Take the caliper apart , pop the pistons out , clean/flush, also do the master cylinder.
put new dot 5 in there, gravity bleed, and you will have a great front brake.

My front brake would howl at times when I either came to a stop or when I would be going backwards putting the bike in the garage. I found that my caliper was leaking brake fluid and it got on the pads. Had to rebuild the caliper. All is good now.

I Have no problem doing this if it will help. I mean I can hit the brakes, and it works, but I dont know that it would lock it up? or what. it will compress the front shock some but to me, it stops like crap... but I am mostly used to motorcross, and crotch rockets...
But hell my 1996 sportster stopped 10X better too....

maybe it will help.
