He's gonna have to shave the go-tee though, I don't like scratchy things on the back of my neckDamn BW, that is a great deal for Franco, glad YOU offered him that spot on your bike!
You want to talk junk yard dogs, you should see my Frankenstein. That's great thing you are starting .
I wondered how long it would take to get this going .
So many great people here .
I would think the trip is way to far for me to take .Unless
I hit the lottery by then .
Besides I really don't have a BDM = Would my bastard mutt be welcome : )
Built with a bunch of BDM parts > mostly donated !
Well Tim, I still live there and I may just have a little background with planning events, especially motorcycle eventsJust got caught up on this thread and I'm in agreement with Wichita for it's location and BDM history.
I'll touch base with Matt Moore and get his input.
How's the riding in that area??? I'd love to some some real scenic group rides.
One thought I had pop into my head... we could do a Hot Rod Power Tour style meeting and do some scenic group rides to different towns. Then again, if people trailer in, that wouldn't work very well.
Anyway, let's plan for Wichita and go from there, its pretty much the center of the country. I'll be home next week and can work on this some more.
Lastly, ANYONE with experience planning large events, and want to help, please step forward. I used to be the events coordinator for a Jeep club I belonged to, but we were tiny compared to our group here.
I'll create a new section for this event so we can keep the conversation in one place.
Not going to happen unless you sign a lease for the property. Trust me, unless something has changed recently it's been tried, offers made and those signs aren't going anywhere anytime soon was the last I heard.wonder what they would want $$ wise for the bigdog signs on the building?
Good to know.Well Tim, I still live there and I may just have a little background with planning events, especially motorcycle events![]()
Maybe we can lease that building for the party. I can see the headlines in the newspaper now.Not going to happen unless you sign a lease for the property. I know Kansas is where these bikes were made, I was just thinking about rides once we all get there, the Ozarks would be much better!I believe Springfield Missouri is the center or close to center of the United states ,, so maybe Branson / Ozarks ???
The Geographic Center of the United States (contiguous 48) is located about two miles northwest of Lebanon, Kansas. Take US Highway 281 north 1 mile, and turn west one mile on K-191 to the maker that has been erected at the end of the paved road. The actual center is about a half mile away in the center of a former hog farm.I believe Springfield Missouri is the center or close to center of the United states ,, so maybe Branson / Ozarks ???
Is that where we can ride to? What's the riding like there Flat? The Geographic Center of the United States (contiguous 48) is located about two miles northwest of Lebanon, Kansas. There really isn't very much to see or do at the Geographical Center of the United States, but if you are passing through the area on US highways 36 or 281, it is worth driving the short distance from Lebanon.
