So tryin to get my dog inspected and found out my horn does not work.

I have searched all over the bike cant seem to locate it, also checked the owners man and wire diagram no luck there.

I have also found that my tach lights will blink all on and off when in neutral sitting at a light or just randomly.

any help is greatly appreciated.:flag:

I have a 2002 Pit and mine is located under the bike hanging from a bolt. I have to be careful when jacking the bike up. Right in front of the rear tire. Also your idle may be set to low. That will make your tach lights go haywire. Does it go away when you give it gas?

05 Pit here...my horn is just in front of the battery box inside the little fairing that covers the area. It's bolted to the battery box itself.

awesome guys ty for the info.

I will check the bat box for the horn
and
I will look into the idle issue would that also cause the excessive exhaust popping when I let off the throttle?

Idle speed wouldn't cause popping on deceleration. Mine does that as well. Might play with jetting but I say it's typical.

So I did not find the horn but I did play with the idle a bit and it seems to have helped.

The carb diagram would be awesome I have the PDF of the 2006 owners man. but it is very limited.

Thanks again for the hookup Franco!!! I've gone over the manual though, and still can't narrow down what color wire operates the horn.

I see the location in front of the battery, but no wires. I assume I need to pull the covering off. There is a small empty connector with a black and purple wire connecting.? I guess next step is to pull the button if I cant figure it out. My wife is nervous without the horn!!!!
Thanks for any help.

My bike decel pops too. Decel pop can also be caused by removing the baffles from the pipes, intake leaks, or incorrect carb tuning.

Carb tuning videos available on the S&S website. Easy to fix your decel popping, you're running too lean. 10 minute job at most. Good luck.
