So I decided to take my wife out on my bike that I just got last week to show her how bad ass it is, well about 5 mi into the ride the bike starts cutting out and completely dies! I am thinking "holy shit not again"!!! so I try and start it and everything is acting weird, it won't start but turns over slow at first then not at all, I check the battery conections and notice that the positive terminal is melted slightly and loose, so I jiggle it around and the bike starts! So, we haul ass home and when I shut it off, it's dead! I take the battery out and notice that both terminals are messed up but the positive is the worst, I go to the local Harley shop and show them the battery and he tells me that it is aftermarket junk and should never be used on a bike like mine, I buy a new one, install it and the bike runs great! Makes me wonder though if the charging system is working
So I guess the dealer that I bought from in Texas slightly missed that the battery was junk on their so called "24 point worry free inspection"! Anyway I am just glad I am back up and running, I will take it down to the Harley dealer and have them check it out to make sure it's charging ok,:2thumbs:
