2X but I'd check the VR first just to make sure.

Yes for sure, keep checking to see what's making it blow.
Make sure the wires aren't burnt inside the bucket, and touching each other.
I had one in the shop several years ago that kept blowing bulbs, and found a cracked bucket. I guess the extra vibration was shaking the elements out of it.
And yes, if the VR is going, the headlight will be the weakest point for the extra voltage to show up.

,

yes check for vibration, I put a soft rubber grommet on my light base .(has it's own ground)
2k , no burn out on a vibrating pitbull

My 05 RB burned out 4 times in about 2 months. I checked my VR and found out the wiring harness in the bucket was bad. I bought the updated ceramic plug the headlight plugs into and found it was not making a good connection and would vibrate off and a little bit and blow the bulb. Bought the new harness, wired it up with all the heat shrink tubes that came with it and no problems all summer. Like a $10 part at the local BD mechanics shop. Steele customs hope it works out for ya!

How do I know which glass to use? (I purchased my bike with a broken headlight) The bulb still works, but I need the glass itself? My bucket is a 5 3/4"
