I broke the starter jack shaft...again... what is the best way to go ? rebuild with an all balls jack shaft or buy a high performance starter and which one ?

His starter doesn't need rebuilding, it works. The starter is misaligned so the jack shaft is at the wrong angle. The stock jack shafts are junk. When I put my belt drive on the jack shaft was so beat up it was ready to go. (with only 4k on it)

I bought the Ulmita jack shaft and it has a cut gear that meshes better and is more HD. When I installed it I check for clearance and had to shim the starter to get it right.

I have LHD so I don't know if the same jack shaft will fit your 2005 but you can email John or Rick and they will know.
