Hi Everyone reading,
I need help! Yeah maybe that kind of help too! LOL
I've got a 2004 big dog with 3400 miles on it that I'm working on.
The bike used to turn over, now it won't.
Here's a list of symptoms related to the starter as they first occurred.
1) turn the key on and the bike starts to turn over by itself. (Doesn't do it anymore now)
2) turn the key on, press the run switch, press start, the motor turns over, bike starts, starter continues to try to start until I pull the green wire from the starter motor. ( Doesn't do it anymore now)
3) turn the key on, press the run switch, press the start switch, motor solenoid does not engage. Starter does not turn over. The headlight goes dim when I press and hold the start switch too. There is voltage going to the solenoid (green wire) from the EHC; It's like 6 volts though, is that correct? The Voltage at the battery measures 12.6 volts.
The EHC lights show one green and one yellow light.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
