06 K9, my high beam indicator light stays on, when I try to turn it off at the handle bar switch the head light blinks. I did jump started it because the battery was dead even though I had a tender on it (original battery). When I took a ride on it I noticed the indicator light on. I put a new battery in it and the light is still on, I appreciate any help or direction on this.

When you did jump started it... was the engine on the other vehicle on or off?

If using a car to jump start a bike ALWAYS do it with the engine off.

Is the High Beam functioning normal? it is just the HBeam indicator that is playing up, or the H Beam itself too?

Also, original Battery from a 2006..... Time for a new one!

Yep. Your low beam is out. Replace the bulb. On my 04 Pit/WP, when both high and low beams go out, it blows the 30amp fuse and the bike will NOT start. Get it replaced before you have to walk. Jmo.

So, I am thinking you are saying your low beam is out? Also, search the forums for removing your headlight to replace the bulb. This may save you a lot of frustration getting that bezel out.

Noticed you had original battery, but it still might not be a bad idea to check charging voltage if battery and light goes out about same time....
Heck, it's good to check charging once in the while anyway.

You might want to replace the plastic H4 bulb socket with a hi-temp ceramic type while the headlight bucket is apart.

check the black wire coming from the headlight to the battery on negative side mine did the same thing and it was broke right before the battery
