I don't have any pictures, but you can mount it either way. Did you get an adapter with the carb to mount to an S&S intake manifold? Otherwise, they retail for around $30.

I have a Mikuni with D&M double cone filters and had to switch to the rubber intake adapter to install.

Is the breather filter free-floating? or, how did you attach it to stay in position? I can't make it out on the pics.

It mounts using the head just like the original S&S backing plate. This is a nice setup and performs well for being spiked, but it's huge!! Kinda gets in the way of your leg at times. But the Mikuni carb is the way to go if you have the $$ to spend on one. This might be something to look into Franco :D

First, WHY ?
You can make your "G" carb perform every bit as well as a Mikuni.
If you're going to use a 45 MIK, you really need to get a S&S "E" manifold, as the inlet diameter of the "G" manifold is too large. :bang: The other option would be to use a Mik 45 mm intake, and then you'll need to make spacers to fit it between the heads.
"G" inlet = 52.5 mm
"E" inlet = 47.2 mm
