Looking forward to retirement
Thanks for the info Biker Babe!

As a Realtor,
I read the Article; IMHO, I believe the Big Dog Parts Inventory could and will be seized per the Agreement... But like all foreclosed property at the time of seizure or lock-up whatever is inside is under control of the new "owner".

The "new-owner" will likely auction off all Assets like Parts Inventory or what ever isn't attached to the building so they can get as much cash as possible -- don't blame them one bit!

Home Foreclosure Example:
Some homeowners in foreclosure have bought their own furniture and personal items back after being left in the house after foreclosure. I don't feel sorry for them; they didn't pay as Agreed and were given ample Formal Notice to get their stuff out!:spank:

...Moral of the story is -- we will probably still see those Big Dog Parts available through someone else soon if it all goes down...
Sounds like Derrick & Donna might have a road trip and business meeting in there future!

Does this mean BDMPerformanceProducts is in trouble?
I don't think they are named in the suit at least as far as the article mentions and that may be because a federal law requires a manufacturer has to supply replacement parts for ten years. Wonder when the 10 years started?

Would you happen to know which law you are referring to, just curious and would like to read up on it. Just seems like it would be hard to enforce from a private individual. On another note, I feel like I have been self insured since I bought the Bulldog in 07. I have the same warranty on the 07 K9 that I bought 4th of July. Not bitching, just stating the facts from my perspective.

Be a great opportunity for somebody with cash to play. They would need to get in there and get them parts and start up their own business. I can definitely say it won't be me but wish I could.

Somehow I had a feeling you guys would come to the rescue. There are simply too many dogs out there and the market is too big for all business to end. Unfortunately huge piles of parts will be in storage for a long time to come, due to greed from investors, but I sure hope you guys gets as much as possible and can keep our dogs running for years to come. :2thumbs:

So I've owned a BD for just the past 6 months and have learned tons. How does Donna and Derek fit into the big picture? Are they tied in with BDMPERFORMANCEPRODUCTS?

Incidentally I think we can survive long term by engineering new parts, etc to retrofit parts that we can no longer get. The heart of our bikes are Baker and S&S products sitting on a frame.

It would be cool if we could somehow get the original engineering parts drawings of some of the unique parts.
