I am planning on replacing my EHC with the WP374 but now after reading this discussion I still don't know which one to go with, either the BDM/PDM or the WP374. Does anyone have anything good to tell me about either.?

At this point WSW's unit will have integrated motion and shock alarm, integrated self canceling blinkers, passing blinker, modulating brake light and accessories block for plugging additional power into.
There will be an optional FOB proximity ignition switch that gets rid of the need for a physical key.
Unit will be plug and play on all 04 and newer BDs with the stock Harnesses in place.

Kit came today, I put the new switch control module in and it fired right up. Tomorrow I'm putting the inline fuse in.

Will the FOB open my garage door? :D

The WSW sounds like a gem. Can you please explain what type of protection is built in to prevent issues like I had with my EHC when my battery had an internal short? When will they be available for an '09 Ridgeback? Sorry if this info is posted elsewhere...

Thanks,
Doug

There will be a fast trip fuse or breaker, my tech hasn't decided yet, to protect the unit. Right now we are working exclusively on carbureted BDs 04 and newer, as that was the bulk of what they made, other models will come a little later.

Great to hear Sic6,, Very happy the WP374 worked for you.. :)
I was going to ask if you could please leave a positive feedback in he sellers section. :)

I just got the Bid Dog Performance unit in as well. I'll be wiring it up for my buddy probably next week. I need to finish my custom RK bagger that I have been building.
Again, great news Sic6.... :)

Pantydropper you're the shit man!! It was great doing business with you. Grade A guy to deal with, I would highly recommend anyone to do business with you. Also left a positive thread for you in the sellers section.

I'll stick with the Devil I know for now (EHC), we need a new poll on this subject!
EHC vs Wire Plus vs PDM!!!!
Pablo I did't have the good fortune to make that decision my ehc went out had to do something was not going back with the ehc it had been giving me fits for a couple years.Did what everyone else was doing at the time wireplus. Best thing sence white bread. Or so we thought. Im just saying for what we pay for it and it not being a performance part they should stand behind it for longer. My 2 cents worth.

my control module went out yesterday. just got it 9 months ago. I think having all these extra switches that makes the blinkers blink twice every time you sneeze and other BS switches that takes some kind of module to make it work is crap. why cant we just wire it like a plain old school chopper and let it run right. the old school choppers are passing us up onside of the road, while ours are needing a special control module to keep it running. hell I got arms for blinkers a could use a toggle switch to turn headlight on! lol js

I agree hahaha...I tried to call them today about my module but they aren't open. Tuesday - Friday I think it said. So, is it just as simple as unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one??

I really don't know. had someone do it for me . but since then little by little its been fn up. just cuts of , ignition switch shorting out, switch module. im really thinking of just running an old school simple hook up on it. least maybe it will keep me on it instead of me always fixing wires or switches are on it
