BDM and Ironhorse survey

Just about all of are day rides are 300+ miles. Have done several 1000+ mile weekend rides. If it breaks me and the dog will get home one way or another. No matter what type of transportation you have theres always a possibility it will break. Be it a HD, Honda, Chevrolet, or Ford. I don't let it keep me from going some where.

Do it every year to Stugis and back (400 miles one way) and several other weekend rides throughout the year.

Was reading the Ironhorse forum, similar to this one ( but our guys seem so much more helpful) and the question was made "would you ride your IH more than 300 miles in day"? Over 90 % said no due to reliability issues. A few said no due to back problems ( can relate). But lets ask here would you trust your ride to go 300 miles in a day?
What AIH forum?

I have run 200+ on my AIH.

Bike was ok, but gusting winds made my neck hurt so I called it a day.

This was the ride that the guy videoing me doing 70mph on the highway almost cut the ride short when he caused traffic flow issues.

I ride mine between 350 and 400 miles on a regular basis and don't have any problems. Would ride more but usually don't have the free time to ride more than that

In general I assume the limiting factor in a day is more the rider than the bike.

That is pretty much a universal truth for all modern bikes....hell even early HDs went cross country. They did not do that by saying 30 miles is good enough a day for me.
